Somewhere I read that you should always have a FAQ page on your site. Since I can think of some questions you might like the answers to, I have decided to start one. If you have questions, email me at Linda@e-vampires.net
Linda Suzane is the pen name for L. S. Melin. I have been writing for over 30 years, sometimes full time, sometimes not. I have been interested in vampires as long as I can remember. The first story I ever wrote was a Science Fiction story about a race of vampires. For more information or www.LindaSuzane.com Where did you get the idea for e-Vampires.net? When I started writing a book review column at Suite101.com, I found that I didn't really have enough room for all the links or to do a book list. So I decided to create a companion site where I could have room for all kinds of lists. It has sort of grown and now even has its own domain name. Suite101.com is an online publishing community of real people helping real people. Hundreds of writers and editors write articles on almost a thousand different topics. I was one of the contributing editors, a part of the Reading Community. My topic, which has since been retired, was Vampire eBook Authors. You will soon be able to find the columns and reviews at www.midnightblood.com Why do you deal only with eBooks and the Internet? First, because the Internet and eBooks are where my interests lie. I am a published Internet author. I believe in the future of eBooks. Second, there are a lot of people out there reviewing and talking about the well-known authors like Anne Rice and Laurell K. Hamilton and Christine Feehan. I didn't want to spend my time on something everyone else was doing. I discovered a world of really great vampire stories all on eBooks. I want to get the word out. Third, I have learned that not only is there great reading in eBooks, but also on personal web sites, ezines, communities. I want to be able to share what I have discovered. How do I get my vampire book reviewed? I am currently not reviewing any books, but I hope that will change in the future. How do I get my ebook or e-zine listed with e-Vampires.net? You can email me your request at Linda@e-vampires.net You can also use my Free-for-All links page and add the link directly yourself. You may find that you are already listed on one of my lists. Previously I had a newsletter full of information about current books. Unfortunately that was discontinued. I have started a new newsletter/discussion group to be able to post up-to-date information about the site. It is an open discussion group where I hope authors will post information about their books and readers and authors can discuss them. Even if you were signed up for the newsletter before, you will need to subscribe again. How do I use a button or banner? Buttons and banners are just another way to link site to site. Instead of typing in the name and creating a hyperlink, you use a graphic image (the button or banner) and attach your hyperlink to that. Buttons and banners come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes. Choose what size works best for you. Copy the image, insert the HTML code, and you have a banner on your page. There are banner exchange programs that one can belong to, but as yet I haven't researched them enough to know which ones I want to choose. It is all about advertising and letting other people know that you exist. |
